Susan focuses on intellectual property disputes and IP litigation, including patent, copyright, trademark and service mark, unfair competition, trade secrets, and related business disputes. She also advises clients in all areas of intellectual property protection and licensing, copyright procurement, copyright compliance, and contractual matters involving intellectual property, with an emphasis on copyright law. Susan has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of intellectual property litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels. She has worked on patent infringement cases involving a diverse scope of technologies ranging from cellular telephone technology to pizza ovens. She also has represented clients in a variety of copyright infringement matters, including computer software, architectural works, literary works, musical works, visual art works, and useful articles, as well as matters involving trademark, service mark, and trade dress infringement; unfair competition; infringement of publicity rights; and theft of trade secrets. In law school, Susan was elected to the Order of the Coif and served on the editorial board of the Vanderbilt Law Review. During her undergraduate years, she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
