Profile

Randol Read joined the firm in 2002. He practices all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on computer hardware, software engineering, and semiconductor processing. Randol counsels his clients regarding patents, trademarks and copyrights, and he helps clients develop and manage a portfolio of their IP assets. His electrical engineering background includes microprocessor-based product and ASIC design. Randol has represented clients in processor architecture, memory devices, network devices, fiber optic and seismic technologies. Prior to joining the firm, Randol served as Director of R&D at an oil and gas product manufacturer before joining Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor, and Zafman as an associate.
