Jessie Herrera joined Patterson & Sheridan in 2006 as a summer associate and continued his tenure at the firm during his final year of law school. Jessie works in the areas of patent preparation, patent prosecution and opinion preparation supporting clients in a variety of technologies. Mechanical devices, such as oil field equipment for down-hole expandable tubulars and deep-sea platform decommissioning, are areas that have benefited from his analysis and training. During law school, Jessie achieved highest marks earning the American Jurisprudence award in his Corporations class. He was also the managing editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law. Prior to joining the firm, Jessie served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Kenneth Hoyt in the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas and the Honorable Jeff Bohm in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Texas. Before law school, Jessie worked in the oil and gas industry as a product design engineer for Cooper Cameron in Houston. He is also a 1st degree black belt in the sport of Tae Kwon Do.
