Aaron Arpi joined the firm in 2011 following graduation from law school. He prepares and prosecutes domestic and international patent applications with an emphasis on electrical engineering and communications technology. While studying Electrical Engineering at the U.S. Naval Academy, Aaron spent two summers working at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory with the team of engineers that developed the HERMES radar. After graduating from the Naval Academy in 2002 with a B.S. in electrical engineering, he served on active duty in the Navy for seven years as a SH-60B helicopter pilot. From 2008-2011, he attended law school at Georgetown University while also serving as a lieutenant in the Naval Reserve.
During the summer of 2010, Aaron worked as an intern in the intellectual property division of Claro y Companía, a law firm in Santiago, Chile. He spent his final semester of law school as an exchange student at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Additionally, he interned during the summer of 2011 at the Bogotá law firm Estudios Palacios Lleras. He is fluent in Spanish and knowledgeable of Civil Law legal systems, especially those of Latin America.
